Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 3. player. 30. . Edge Rusher

Nick Bosa will not escape the top three. Nor will Quinnen Williams. One of them will be the pick here, and Bosa happens to be the one on the board in this situation.

The Jets would be ecstatic to land a player like Bosa here. Bosa is one of the players that’s in the running to be the best player in this class. And had he played more in his final season at Ohio State, he may have solidified his status as such.

Bosa was a sack artist during his time at Ohio State, and he had 17.5 sacks in just 29 games at the school. In his final season, he was able to total four sacks in just three games. And in his first year, he was used only as a rotational defensive lineman. So, it’s fair to assume that he could have posted even better numbers with more playing time.

Stats aside, Bosa looks really natural on tape. He knows how to use pass rushing moves, has good athletic ability, and has a solid motor. He should be a top pass rusher at the NFL level and for a Jets team that needs a No. 1 edge player, he could fill that role and really help to improve their defense.

In the unlikely event that both Bosa and Williams are off the board, the Jets could consider taking Josh Allen with this pick. They reportedly like him. They could also consider trading down to pick up an extra second-round pick, as they gave this year’s second-round pick to the Colts via last year’s trade for Sam Darnold.
