Missouri. Drew Lock. 10. player. 45. . Quarterback

The Broncos aren’t set at quarterback. In fact, they’ve been in flux at the position for many years. Since Peyton Manning helped the team win the Super Bowl title, the team hasn’t had an answer at quarterback.

So far, the team has tried Trevor Siemien, Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler, and Case Keenum, but to not avail. John Elway will target a successor if he thinks one if worth drafting and Drew Lock could fit the bill.

I have had Lock to the Broncos for quite a while and recently said this about him in a mock draft.

"Yes, the Broncos offloaded Case Keenum and acquired Joe Flacco. However, Flacco is a 34-year-old and while he’s a former Super Bowl Champion, he has only been decent at best in recent years. Lamar Jackson replaced him as the starter last season, and there’s no guarantee he will be a long-term answer for the Broncos at quarterback. Lock has some interesting tools for the next level. His skill set compares favorably to that of Jay Cutler. He has a very strong arm and should have a chance to make every throw at the NFL level. But unlike Cutler, Lock is viewed as a very good leader who will work hard to fix some of his issues at the next level. He could be a franchise quarterback, but he just has to work on a couple of things moving forward."

Lock could serve as the understudy to Flacco and eventually take over as the starter. If the Broncos like him enough, they won’t hesitate to take him with the 10th pick. If they go in another direction, Rashan Gary and Devin Bush could make sense.
