Ian: This almost feels unfair, part two.

Most mock drafts have the Los Angeles Rams bolstering their defense in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, either with an edge rusher, an inside linebacker, or a defensive back. But what if Sean McVay instead added yet another dynamic weapon to his already imposing arsenal?

It might not happen. The player picked might not even make it this far. But since this is theoretical, we can dream about the possibilities of a Rams offense employing Iowa’s Noah Fant.

Fant might not be as well-rounded a prospect as his team mate, T.J. Hockenson. But Fant is a dynamic offensive talent in his own right. He has the athleticism and route running ability to create separation up the middle of the field, and with the Rams, he’d form a potent trinity with Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee.

Fant is a player who could function as both a big slot and a traditional tight end for McVay, and the offensive prodigy would likely have a lot of fun scheming Fant open with the help of other dynamic talents like Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp. Los Angeles’ scary offense just got even scarier.
