54. . Edge Rusher. Clemson. Clelin Ferrell. 25. player

Ian: This is a great value get for the Philadelphia Eagles. At one of the most important defensive positions, they get a much-needed high-floor prospect who can contribute right away.

The Eagles aren’t necessary bare in the cupboards at edge rusher, but Derek Barnett’s upside is questionable, and Michael Bennett’s stint ended with him being traded to the Patriots. The Eagles still have Chris Long, but they need more depth on the edge.

That’s where Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell comes in. Ferrell isn’t the best edge rusher in the 2019 NFL Draft, in terms of developmental upside. But his floor is impressively high for a prospect. He has great length and strength, and his attention detail and nuance as a rusher will be an asset for whichever team takes him in Round 1.

In this scenario, the Eagles are that team. And at No. 25, Ferrell is a steal.
