The offseason is here. There’s no need to imagine it any longer.

Today, at noon, the NFL’s legal tampering period starts, and all teams, including the Washington Redskins, are officially allowed to conduct negotiations with pending free agents.

On March 13, free agency will officially begin with the start of the new league year, and players will be permitted to sign with new franchises for the 2019 season and beyond.

From there onward, the offseason is a blur; one month after free agency begins to die down, the 2019 NFL Draft will be on the rise, and late in April, the biggest offseason event of the NFL will commence. Then, it’s one last long wait before the 2019 regular season.

For the Redskins, who have approximately $21 million in cap space and nine picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, there are resources to be used, in the hunt to maintain relevance in an ever-changing NFL landscape. There are ways that the Redskins can maximize the assets they have, but such maximization requires a little thinking outside the box.

For a special occasion like the turning of the NFL new year, Jacob Camenker and I put together a special podcast for you guys. Since we won’t have the opportunity to do so again in 2019, Jacob and I got together and compiled one last 2019 offseason mock for the Redskins. Jacob handled the free agency portion, while I took care of the 2019 NFL Draft afterwards.
