It’s probably not going to happen, but could the Washington Redskins trade for a quarterback?

Until the Redskins add a quarterback to their roster, there will be constant debate about what they should do at the position. Sign a free agent? Draft a guy early? Draft a guy late? Don’t draft a guy? Seemingly everything is on the table, but one thing is certain. They will add a quarterback to compete with Colt McCoy at some point.

However, an underlooked potential quarterback market comes via trade. The Redskins could consider trying to acquire a proven veteran or a potential-packed starter if they are put on the trade block. Right now, there are a few names out there that are intriguing, and while they would make sense from a player standpoint, there are other concerns about the Redskins acquiring them.

Still, the team has to explore all potential avenues for success. They simply can’t ignore the quarterback position and if there is a potential quality starter available, Washington will have to consider them. They made be hamstrung financially in some of these potential deals, but that doesn’t mean they won’t consider them.

Here’s a look at four quarterbacks that could end up on the trade market this offseason. And if they are available, the ‘Skins should at least do their due diligence.
