The Redskins should be eyeing Deebo Samuel. His stock will be impacted at the Combine, so the team will need to know if he’s a realistic option for their second pick. If he is available in the second round, it would be very difficult to pass on him.

Last season, Samuel did a lot to show that he could be a potential top receiver in the NFL. He caught 62 passes for 882 yards and logged a whopping 11 touchdowns. He consistently showcased a solid skill set and his ability to find space in the red-zone will make him an intriguing target for the NFL level.

Samuel was one of our top players to watch in the 2019 Senior Bowl. Before the game, I said the following of his skill set.

More from Commanders Draft News

"So far during Senior Bowl practice, Samuel has reportedly been one of the best players on the field. He has demonstrated great route running ability, speed, and quick feet that should help him to become a potential No. 1 receiver at the next level. Samuel has consistently won in one-on-one matchups, so it’s clear that it will be hard to contain him at the next level. If he can continue to display this type of skill set in the game, his stock will continue to heat up."

Samuel was arguably the top performer at wide-out in the Senior Bowl, and his stock did end up rising. With Hollywood Brown out for the Combine, Samuel now may have a chance to push himself into the first-round conversation. If he can show solid speed and good route running ability, teams may be interested in adding him earlier than expected.
