Three reasons why the Redskins need an impact draft this year

The Washington Redskins appear to be a team at a crossroads. Can the team find the impact players this franchise desperately needs in the 2019 NFL draft?
Searching for diamonds is a long, meticulous process that involves sifting through dirt, or in this case draft prospects, for hours, even sometimes days on end. It is dirty work, and there are times when you feel like all the effort you are putting in isn’t worth it.
What makes it the most difficult, however, is simply not knowing where it is you need to look, or who to pick, to find your diamond. But, finding one can change the fortunes of your life, or in this case a franchise, forever. The Washington Redskins are a team that desperately needs to find a diamond or two in the draft this year, as they appear to be a team at a crossroads.
The 2018 Redskins were a team whose record was probably a little bit better than the talent on the roster was. Now, that does not mean the current team is completely void of talent– it’s just that there isn’t enough of it for this team to be considered a legit Super Bowl contender.
There are looming talent deficiencies at key positions like wide receiver and edge rusher, while concerns about depth along the offensive line and in the secondary persist as well. Plus, the quarterback situation. The 2019 NFL Draft offers them a chance to start filling some of those holes at key positions. Here are three reasons why this team needs an impact draft this year.
