60. . Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 18. player

The Vikings got their first taste of Kirk Cousins last year. Safe to say, they didn’t like it. The team was supposedly set to be a Super Bowl contender with the addition of Cousins, but he performed poorly. However, the Vikings are locked into their investment for another two years, so they will have to keep building around Cousins in hopes of getting back to the playoffs.

One area that the Vikings could stand to clean up is their offensive line. Their unit regressed this season and they lack talent at the guard and right tackle positions. That’s why Cody Ford would be a good fit for them.

Ford is a mammoth, 338-pound offensive lineman who had a great season at Oklahoma. He has the size and strength needed to be a solid all-around player in the NFL, and he is surprisingly nimble for his size. He has good footwork and should be able to succeed at right tackle or guard in the NFL. It’s just a matter of where teams want to play him.

With the Vikings, Ford could move inside and fill the hole the team has at left guard. Or, he could kick outside to right tackle and the Vikings could move 2018 second-round pick Brian O’Neill inside to guard. Either way, Ford would be a starter and should have a chance to provide better protection for Cousins in hopes of rejuvenating the offense.

If the Vikings don’t go with an offensive lineman, they could target a linebacker like Mack Wilson to help their unit in coverage (an area in which they struggle). For now, Ford is the better value.
