So, the College Football National Championship is tonight, and it’s a pretty big deal.

Two of the NCAA’s best, most talented teams, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers, will clash at 8:00 PM eastern tonight, to fight for the national championship trophy. Naturally, in a matchup of college football blue-bloods, there will be plenty of premier talents for NFL teams to scout. The Washington Redskins would do well to be one of those teams.

Even for high-profile teams, teams that always seem to be under the spotlight, there are players who can go overlooked. Gems in the rough who can make a difference at the next level, if unburied from a pile of four and five-star recruits.

With a universal depth issue, and a variety of needs at key positions, the Redskins might need to do a good amount of digging in the 2019 NFL Draft. Their roster won’t be fixed overnight, but by sapping talent from the best college football has to offer, they might be able to speed the process. That’s the formula they’ve used in back to back years, and they came away with Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Shaun Dion Hamilton.

Obviously, no team would ever draft all of their players from two teams. But the rules of the National Championship mock are unflinchingly rigid. Could the Redskins use all their picks on championship players, and in turn, have a chance to instill a championship culture? See for yourself.
