No. 1 – Josh Johnson throws three touchdowns in duel with Nick Foles

I won’t call it a shootout, because I don’t think the Redskins offense has the capacity for such consistent scoring. But Josh Johnson will put up his most explosive performance yet on Sunday.

Johnson should truly get an award for simply staying healthy behind the Redskins current offensive line. But what he’s done in his time with the Redskins is far more than anyone expected him to do.

Johnson led Washington to a win in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Then he came back and put together one of the best halves by a 2018 Washington quarterback in Week 16 against the Titans (Not exactly high standards, I know).

Johnson fell apart late in the Titans game, but the final stats skew the reality that he was largely solid for the first three quarters. Johnson, with his arm and athleticism, has managed to get something out of an anemic Redskins offense, and on Sunday, urged by the Eagles’ offensive prowess, Johnson will deliver season highs in bunches, throwing three touchdowns, and 300 yards, if you’re feeling extra bold.

It may seem unrealistic for Johnson, who is a fourth-string quarterback in a talent-devoid, talent-drained offense. But the Eagles’ pass defense is the worst in the league, yardage wise, and Johnson still has things to prove, pertaining to where he belongs as a football player. It’s under these kinds of circumstances, that the bold becomes not so bold at all.
