1. Redskins must continue to rally around Josh Johnson

Josh Johnson did not win the game against the Jaguars by himself on Sunday, that was a total team effort in every phase. The defense made the plays necessary to keep the score low. The offense made timely plays, and special teams had another fantastic outing, especially Tress Way. Johnson threw for just 151 yards, but he made plays when they were there and didn’t try to do too much.

He must have a repeat performance this week as he continues to get comfortable in the system and with his teammates. Against the Jaguars, he made some plays with his legs to avoid sacks and help move the chains. They must continue to find ways to use his athleticism as it is an asset. Look for a couple of designed runs or run pass-options this game.

Johnson must keep the chains moving this week and have another steady game if they hope to stay in this game. He does not need to win this game by himself, but he is going to need to make some plays if the Redskins want to win.
