The Washington Redskins are getting ready for another do-or-die game as they continue to be in the NFC playoff race. This time, they get a chance to take on the Tennessee Titans in a tough road test.

The Redskins have the first game of Week 16 of the NFL season. With Thursday night football now over, the team will engage in a rare Saturday afternoon affair with the Tennessee Titans on the road. This game will be critical to the playoff chances of both teams.

While many will point out that the 7-7 Redskins don’t look like a playoff team, the fact of the matter is that if they can somehow pull off a couple of wins, they will have a shot at the postseason. No, it’s not a guarantee. But still, the chance exists. Josh Johnson will have a chance to lead the squad to a second consecutive win, but the test with the Titans will be tough.

The Titans (8-6) are fresh off a shutout victory over the New York Giants. Granted, the Giants haven’t been very good this season, but the fact is that when the Titans come to play, they can give weaker teams trouble. That should have the Redskins a bit worried, especially considering their injury woes on both sides of the ball.

Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. On any given Sunday — or in this case, Saturday — any team can win. All it takes is one play to spark a team. We saw it last week with the Jamison Crowder catch, and we’ll see if the Redskins can find something this week to get back to having a winning record.
