Redskins: 3 possible outcomes for the remainder of the season

The Washington Redskins just rode their fourth-string quarterback to a surprising win over the Jaguars. With a record of 7-7, there are a few possible ways that their season could end.

The Redskins season was all but over heading into the fourth quarter against the Jaguars. Their offense couldn’t do anything, and while their defense was doing fine in their efforts to contain Cody Kessler and the Jaguars offense, it didn’t seem that they had enough fire-power to make the comeback.

Then, after a pass from Josh Johnson to Jamison Crowder, everything changed.

The Redskins were able to come from behind to win against the Jaguars. On the road. With their fourth-string quarterback. That’s impressive. Even though the team didn’t play that well, the fact that they were able to squeeze out a win was a great sign for them.

Of course, the win doesn’t guarantee them anything except this. They are still in the playoff race. There are now three ways that this season could end, and it could have a big impact on the organization moving forward. Here’s a look at the three things that could happen to close the season and what it might mean for the job security of all involved in the Redskins organization.
