The Redskins’ season has been derailed by injuries and some late season drama. Do they have the ability to rally around each other and finish strong?

After an absolutely embarrassing 40-16 home loss to the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars.

The Redskins found themselves down 34-0 at halftime against the Giants, and down 40-0 in the third, before scoring a couple of touchdowns to make the game closer than the score indicated.

This was the ugliest game of the Jay Gruden era and one that should put a lot of players and coaches on notice going forward. The NFL is a results-based business, and the product on the field lately has not been inspiring, injuries or not. After some of the players called out the fans earlier in the season, can you be mad at them for not showing up to games after a performance like the one Sunday? It was ugly. There are still three games to go, though, to change things.

While the playoffs are still possible, injuries and a four-game losing skid appear to have ruined a once-promising season. Now sitting at 6-7, it is games like these that reveal the true character of a team. Are they going to implode, leaving the locker room fractured and trust in one another shattered? Or do they find a way to finish strong, setting the tone for the offseason? If the Redskins are going to finish the season strong, this is the type of game they need to win to get back on track. If the Redskins want to get back to .500, here are five keys to victory on Sunday.
