Redskins vs. Giants, part two: Storylines, how to watch, and more
By Ian Cummings
The Redskins have won this game before. But the circumstances are very different this time.
Last time the Washington Redskins squared off against the New York Giants, they were 4-2, set to take on Pat Shurmur’s squad in enemy territory. They won with a relentless defensive attack and an efficient offensive output engineered by Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson. They moved to 5-2, acquiring their biggest division lead of the season.
Now… things are different.
Now, it’s Week 14. Washington has lost three straight games, including two divisional matchups, to fall to 6-6. Their starting quarterback is gone. Their backup quarterback is gone. Half of their offensive line is gone. And their once-inspired defense is back where it started. Once, it wasn’t far fetched to think that the Redskins might win the NFC East. Now, it’s unclear if they’ll win another game.
If the Redskins are to break expectations, and win when no one expects them to, they must deviate from the mean. Something out of the ordinary must happen. Something needs to change from weeks past, or else the Redskins will be 6-7 tomorrow, 6-8 in a week, and 6-10 by January.
To watch the game, you can watch on live television, provided you live in the local D.C. area, or you can lifestream the game on either FuboTV or NFL Game Pass. Below, pregame links are enumerated. Be sure to read up on this crucial battle, and know all there is to know.
