No. 1 – Reality Is, Adrian Peterson needs to make an impact in this game.

Philadelphia’s rush defense has been gashed in recent weeks, giving up over 125 yards on the ground each of the last three games. Against the Giants last week, the yards came at a rate of seven per clip. If the Redskins want to get back to their winning ways, they need to find a way to capitalize on this trend and control some clock with an effective running game.

Will Adrian Peterson get back on track? Will he step up in prime time and put together a performance similar to what he put together earlier in the year? Will the extra couple days of rest help him to come into this game with a little extra in the tank?

The Redskins don’t want to get into a shootout with the Eagles. They need Peterson to be somewhere in the range of effective to elite tonight.

Prediction: I expect Peterson to get 18 touches for 76 yards, including a couple of vintage A.P. runs, but to have his production cannibalized a bit by Chris Thompson’s return. Bonus Prediction: Thompson has a big game, getting 12 touches for 75 yards and a touchdown.
