The Washington Redskins are taking on the Atlanta Falcons in a crucial Week 9 matchups. Here’s a look at some bold predictions for the contest.

Game day is almost here. In less than 24 hours, the Redskins will be looking to improve to 6-2. Such a start would be massive for them as they look to establish themselves as the top contender in the NFC East. And in Week 9, their defense will get one of their bigger tests of the year against the Falcons.

The Falcons have stumbled to a 3-4 record, but their offense hasn’t been their problem. Injuries have sapped their defense of their top playmakers and have made them porous in all aspects of the game. The potential return of Deion Jones should help them in the near future, but they will continue to be an offense-heavy team until that time.

The Redskins defense will have a big test trying to contain the Falcons receivers. Their secondary is the weaker part of the defense, but the return of Quinton Dunbar and the addition of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix could give them a chance to make a statement and really shut down the high-powered Atlanta offense.

With that said, if the Redskins are going to win this game, they’ll need some big — and possibly, crazy — performances from their players. Here’s a look at some bold predictions for the Redskins vs. Falcons in NFL Week 9.
