The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, and there’s a chance that there could be some activity this year. The Redskins may get involved and could seek out receiver help.

To be abundantly clear, the Redskins don’t necessarily need receiver help. They have some talent on their roster, and it appears that Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson are starting to become solid contributors for the squad. That said, it’s still one of the weaker positions on the roster, and it seems that some upgrades will be available on the trade market.

If the Redskins can add another playmaker at receiver, it could do a lot to add some quality depth to their offense. And more importantly, it could take some pressure off Adrian Peterson. The veteran has done an excellent job of carrying the Redskins offense, but he could eventually slow down if somebody else doesn’t pick him up. So, adding a player that could help him would be smart.

If there are some receivers that can help the ‘Skins, they should at least explore adding them. We’re not talking about an Amari Cooper deal. If anything, the squad should be looking for a guy they can get for a mid/late-round pick who could serve as an upgrade. That’s all they need and if they can’t find one, they don’t have to make a move.

With all that said, here’s a look at some receivers that may be available and what the Redskins might have to give up to get them.
