In a Week 8 matchup between NFC East rivals, the Washington Redskins travel to the Meadowlands to face the New York Giants with hopes of maintaining their division lead.

Coming off a statement home win last week against their arch-nemesis, the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins take a two-game winning streak on the road this week.

While the Giants are only 1-6, they still have talent on both sides of the ball and a two-time Super Bowl MVP at quarterback. The NFL is such a week to week league, so records are not always indicative of a team on that particular Sunday.

Jay Gruden has to make sure this team is well-prepared and ready to play Sunday. The Redskins currently sit at 4-2 and are one and a half games up in the division. They are right where they want to be through the first six games of their season. Far too often though, it’s been games like these that are the type of games that the Redskins end up losing. If they want to avoid the ever famous ‘trap’ game and improve to 5-2 overall and 2-0 within the division, here are five keys to victory Sunday.
