The Washington Redskins are getting ready to take on the New York Giants in Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season. This will be a crucial game for them, and they will need their key players to step up.

4-2 vs. 1-6. Playoff contenders vs. first-overall pick contenders. There are many different ways to spin this game, but the fact is that it’s a divisional rivalry. Even though the Redskins should win this game, it doesn’t mean that they’re going to, especially on the road.

The Giants always play the Redskins tough. Always. They take pride in beating their divisional rivals even in down years. NFC East games for the cellar dwellers are like the Super Bowl. They’re the biggest games of the year. And for the Giants, a win over the Redskins would do a lot to quiet the tension that seems to be growing surrounding the team.

Jay Gruden has to have his men motivated and every time I say that, they seem to fall flat. Hopefully, this time is different, but the squad will need some of their best players to step up. Here’s a look at five players to watch in this contest that could really help out the Redskins with a big game.
