The Redskins bested the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. But while the outcome was perfect for Washington, the process was not.

The entire game on Sunday, all four quarters, can be devolved into a simple, singular number, added into the win column of the Washington Redskins record. They found a way to hold off the Dallas Cowboys, and now they sit at 4-2, boasting the third best record in the NFC.

That stat is both refreshing and misleading. Yes, the Redskins finally managed to string together wins, but there are still many questions that remain unanswered. Can the offense, Jay Gruden’s domain, start to find consistency through the air? Can Washington garner a semblance of momentum in the second half?

Nearly halfway through the 2018 season, these are questions that should be answered, and yet, they aren’t. How can the Redskins work on correcting their faults and maximizing their potential. As always, our Ingredients for Improvement make for a good place to start.
