Round One of the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry begins later today. Here’s everything you need to know for the coming battle.

Now entering Week 7 of the 2018 regular season, the NFC East is wide open, ripe for the taking. The Washington Redskins hold a slim lead in the division, with a record of 3-2, but the Eagles and Cowboys linger behind them.

It goes without saying that handling one’s business in the NFC East will be of the utmost importance in the coming weeks, and in the approaching stretch, the Redskins have a chance to do just that; the Cowboys and Giants are slated as their next two opponents, and both teams are beatable.

The Cowboys are first, and toughest, test. With an offense helmed by Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, and a defense littered with talented playmakers, from Jaylon Smith to Byron Jones, the Cowboys are a strangely underrated team. They aren’t dominant in any facet, but they’re stingy, especially on defense, and their identity inherently makes them a tough team to put away.

Coming off a 40-7 win against the Jaguars’ vaunted defense, morale should be high for Jason Garrett’s squad. But Jay Gruden’s team is also coming off a win, and they know they have to attain a degree of consistency in the coming weeks. The stakes will be high on Sunday afternoon. The scores? Well, we’ll find out in little time.

The game kicks off at 4:25 PM eastern time. It’ll be covered live on CBS, with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo commentating. As long as you live east of the Colorado River, you’ll be able to watch! If you don’t, don’t worry. You can also live stream the game on NFL Game Pass or FuboTV, and Redskins Radio is a viable option as well.
