No. 3 – Redskins should get Chris Thompson around 12 to 15 touches

Chris Thompson was on full display in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, totaling over 120 yards and a touchdown on just 11 touches. While he did have 13 catches against the Colts, he also had just one rushing yard and did not have the impact he had in the week prior. He was also quiet against the Packers.

Thompson is a change of pace to Peterson’s grinding style, and getting him in space will fully utilize the skill set he possesses. Jay Gruden is a great offensive mind and will need to design some plays where Thompson can get the ball going full speed.

Plays such as an RPOs (run-pass options) or what the Chiefs are doing with Tyreek Hill will do just that, as Thompson has drawn some favorable comparisons to the Chiefs’ Pro Bowler. He is also great in the screen game. Around six to seven carries and six to seven catches for Thompson is what he needs to impact this game.
