There have been two members of the Redskins who have played 100 percent of the team’s offensive snaps. The first is Alex Smith. But who’s the second? It’s not Trent Williams. It’s not Brandon Scherff. And no, it’s not Morgan Moses.

It’s Chase Roullier.

In three games, Roullier has yet to miss a snap. He’s played two positions, center and left guard, and he’s been solid in both locations. He’s not going to blow you away with his skill set, but in watching him play, it’s clear that he’s a good technician and knows how to block to open up running lanes.

In Weeks 1 and 3, Roullier’s performance in the ground game was solid, and that allowed Adrian Peterson to put up strong numbers. Of course, Roullier wasn’t the only reason that happened, but the fact is that he did play a role in that. And the fact that he has been positionally versatile has been huge for an offensive line that greatly struggled with Shawn Lauvao at left guard.

Roullier should continue to improve, and it looks like the former sixth-round pick out of Wyoming should be a solid starter as he develops. He really deserves a bit more credit for what he’s been able to do to start the season.
