Few expected the Washington Redskins to beat the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the NFL season. Here are the top performers and standouts from that game.

What a roller coaster start to the season for the Washington Redskins. In Week 1, the team handily won a game that was considered to be a toss-up on the road against the Cardinals. In the next contest, they put up an absolute dud against the Colts at home and led many to write them off. But in Week 3, the team was able to put up a killer performance against the Green Bay Packers and improve to 2-1 heading into their bye week.

In the victory, the Redskins executed in all facets. They were able to move the ball on offense and their defense did a great job of limiting the high-flying Packers scoring attack. Limiting Aaron Rodgers and company to just 17 points is a huge achievement — even with Rodgers playing essentially on one leg.

Of course, the team notched the victory, but there were a few individuals that stood out more than others in this contest. On both sides of the ball, these guys were able to put up stellar performances that allowed Jay Gruden’s squad to emerge victorious.

These three players were the most critical to the success of the squad in Week 3. You could make an argument for many other players, but here’s a look at our top three standouts from the game.
