Redskins vs. Colts: Live game thread for NFL Week 2

The Washington Redskins are taking on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 of the NFL season. Here’s a place for you to voice your thoughts and opinions!

NFL Week 2 is now here. After an excellent Week 1 performance against the Cardinals, the Redskins are playing in their first home game against an intriguing opponent — the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are a young team with a lot of upside, but they have a lot of questions as well.

Aside from Andrew Luck at QB and T.Y. Hilton at WR, they don’t have a ton proven talent at any position. Frank Reich will be coaching in just his second contest as the Colts head coach this week, so he can be described as unproven as well.

In their season opener, the Colts lost to the Bengals by a score of 34-23. Their defense just couldn’t hold up against Andy Dalton, Joe Mixon, and the Bengals offense. Because of this, there’s a good reason to have faith in the Redskins offense (and Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson in particular).

Speaking of the Redskins, they are going to be looking for their first 2-0 start since 2011 — a season in which they finished 5-11. Going 2-0 won’t guarantee a winning season by any means, but it should do a lot to inspire confidence in the team and it will guarantee that they will have at least a winning record heading into their Week 4 bye.

The ‘Skins are going to have to do a lot to ensure that they can win, but most importantly, they must try to replicate the gameplan they had against the Cardinals. They dominated time of possession and were able to move the ball at will on the ground. If they can do that again versus the Colts, it should be easy for them to notch their second victory.
