Gameday is here for the Washington Redskins. Here are the three keys for them as they look to beat the Indianapolis Colts in the second week of the 2018 NFL season.

The Redskins have an opportunity to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2011. During the Jay Gruden era, the team has never held a 1-0 record, so they are treading on new ground. Given their strong performance from Week 1, many believe that they will have a chance to win against the Colts. However, there are some skeptics.

Over the past few years, every time the Redskins have had a game that they either should win or be motivated to win, they have turned up flat. They come with little energy and end up disappointing the fans. However, with the new energy in the locker room, and the added leadership of Alex Smith, they should have a chance to change that narrative, especially against the Colts.

The Colts have upside, but they are still a young team with an inexperienced head coach that has a long way to go before they’re back to being a contender. They are entering this matchup off a 34-23 loss in their home opener to the Bengals.

On paper, the Redskins should definitely have the advantage. But in a league where anything can happen on Sunday, there’s always a chance that the team could put up a dud. Still, we like to stay optimistic.

Here’s a look at the three things that the Redskins will need to do in order to notch a win over the Colts in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season.
