Redskins vs. Colts: 5 bold predictions for Sunday’s contest
By Ian Cummings
No. 5 – Adrian Peterson eclipses 100 yards for the first time in 2018
Adrian Peterson proved the doubters, who numbered many, wrong in Week 1, amassing 166 yards from scrimmage on 28 touches. However, he was four yards off from the 100-yard mark, stalling out toward the end of the game.
He got close in the debut, and in Week 2, he will capitalize on the second chance and break the 100-yard mark on the ground.
The Redskins will undoubtedly try to roll with Peterson early, much like they did last week. The Colts’ front seven isn’t far different from the Cardinals. They have some decent options on the defensive line, but it isn’t a particularly deep unit, and the linebackers are underdeveloped and lacking in terms of experience.
Adrian Peterson should be able to make use of the Redskins’ solid blocking for a second straight week, and his vision will be the difference past the line of scrimmage. If he starts out strong, Washington will keep feeding him. So far, he’s shown a high capacity for contact. That will continue against the Colts.
