The Washington Redskins have made the most difficult decisions regarding their roster as they cut their roster down to 53 men. With those decisions now made, here’s a look at what their practice squad may look like.

One of the most difficult days for NFL players has passed. Of course, the Redskins (being the Redskins) haven’t announced their final cuts yet, so we’re all still waiting for the final list. Still, cut day is over with the 4 p.m. deadline passing, and now the teams will scour the waiver wire for some other potential playmakers and then shift their focus to the practice squad.

The practice squad is often overlooked, but the guys on this 10-man unit will spend parts of the year with the team. And as the Redskins saw last year, a handful (or in some cases, many) will get playing time during the regular season. So, it’s important to know exactly who ends up on this unit.

It’s important to note that for the purposes of this exercise, I will be limiting the practice squad players to guys that have already been with the Redskins. Combing through the 1,800-plus players from other teams that will have been cut today is very difficult, and there’s a while there’s a good chance that the Redskins will add outside help, it’s just hard to figure out exactly who that might be.

With that said, here’s a look at our 10 candidates for the Redskins practice squad after cut day. They are listed in no particular order, so without further ado, let’s get this started.
