1. Kevin Hogan completes at least 70 percent of his passes, throw 2 TDs

This is a pretty bold prediction, as Hogan hasn’t proven to be a particularly accurate or consistent quarterback this preseason. Or during any of his years in the NFL for that matter. However, he really looked good in the team’s third preseason game against the Broncos, so perhaps he can build on some positive momentum.

The Redskins will have some solid receiving weapons in action during this contest, and they will have a good chance to take advantage of a matchup with some talented but young members of the Ravens secondary. Hogan has actual NFL game experience, so perhaps this will make him a bit quicker to read the field and will give him a chance to exploit some of the younger defensive backs.

With Hogan set to play most of, if not all, the Thursday night affair, two touchdowns may not seem that bold. But being able to do that and complete 70 percent of his passes? That will take a very strong effort. Still, it’s not out of the question as he appears to be battling for a practice squad spot with this starter.

Perhaps with another strong performance, Hogan will find himself in a good position to earn a practice squad spot with the Redskins. Or with another team. That may be enough to get him to play at a higher level and could make this stat line possible.
