5. Jets receivers vs. Quinton Dunbar/Fabian Moreau

The Jets have an intriguing collection of receivers on their roster that all are adept in certain areas. Robby Anderson has deep speed. Quincy Enunwa has great size. Jermaine Kearse is a good route runner with solid speed. The list goes on.

This amalgamation of different skills, as well as the unestablished nature of the Jets receiving corps, will create some interesting battles for the Redskins. Notably, the players that line up across from Dunbar and Moreau will give the young, potential starters a chance to battle against all different types of players and showcase what they can do against each positional archetype.

With Dunbar, he has great length and the mindset of a receiver, after being converted from the position in his first season with the Redskins. He figures to have a chance at sticking with the better route runners and doing equally as well against the downfield threats. Still, proving that he can deal with deep speed could be critical, as that would make him an ideal partner for the more physicality-based Josh Norman.

As for Moreau, we know he has the speed. He has good coverage skills. The question now is, can he do this against NFL talent? He has sparingly played at the NFL level through no fault of his own, so getting him some live snaps against a bunch of solid receivers could help to further accelerate his development. It would also be nice to see him get some time in the slot, just to see if he could be an upgrade there over Orlando Scandrick.

The Jets receivers will be a test for the Redskins, but it should be one that they can handle. It will certainly be fun to check out the next chapter of the cornerback battle as the Redskins are forced to make decisions about the position.
