This far out, predicting the results of the Redskins’ 2018 schedule is a tall task.

The Washington Redskins are one of the league’s hardest teams to predict in 2018. On one hand, the roster is fairly unproven. The division is just as unpredictable, and the schedule doesn’t have many breaks. If the team can’t come together, another middling season could be in the cards.

But on the other hand, Jay Gruden is back, in his fifth year, with a veteran quarterback who’s coming off his best season to date in Alex Smith. The offense has a strong cast of playmakers at its disposal, behind an offensive line that is above-average, as long as it can stay healthy. The defense is finally coming together, with troves of talent in the front seven, and a few high-upside young players in the secondary. If the pieces mesh under a stellar coaching staff, there isn’t a team in the NFL that the Redskins can’t compete with.

Nevertheless, until the season starts, all words spoken on the matter fall into the realm of speculation. If you’re not into that sort of thing, don’t worry; the NFL season is fast approaching. In less than two weeks, August will be upon us, and preseason will be just around the corner.

If you crave speculation, however, then you’ll like the podcast we have prepared for you tonight. This week, it was just the usual cast, giving their takes on how the Redskins will do in the 2018 season. Want to know how the Redskins might compete in their division after going 1-5 last year? Want to hear which game might end up being the turning point of the season? We have it all lined up for you below.

I do apologize for one thing; At the end, we almost ran out of time, and I did a speed run with my schedule prediction. At the time, I didn’t think to write down my picks, and I lost track. Afterwards, we connected the dots, and my original prediction, which was 10-6, must be changed to 11-5.

I’m high on this team. There’s plenty of reason to be. But just as confidence comes in the offseason, doubt often settles in for some when the season starts. Hopefully, the Redskins can avoid falling into that category. As always, thanks for listening! How do you think the Redskins will fare this coming season? Give us your thoughts below!
