Washington Redskins officially announce 2018 rookie numbers

The Washington Redskins have officially released the numbers for their rookie players in 2018.

Many, including yours truly, have waited patiently, or perhaps impatiently, to learn the numbers of the new rookie class for the Washington Redskins. With rookie minicamp coming up this Friday, the team needed to release the numbers promptly, and today, they did. In the graphic below, you can see the numbers of the Washington Redskins 2018 NFL Draft picks.

Da’Ron Payne will rock Jonathan Allen’s old number (Jonathan Allen switched to No. 93 this offseason, following the departure of Trent Murphy, while Derrius Guice will run over NFC East defenses donning the No. 29.

Additionally, Geron Christian will share the No. 72 jersey with Anthony Lanier, while Greg Stroman will share the No. 25 with Chris Thompson. Those two jerseys will be subject to change once more numbers become available in preseason cuts.

Troy Apke will don No. 30, a number previously worn by 2015 rookie standout Kyshoen Jarrett. Tim Settle will be sporting No. 97, made available following last week’s release of Terrell McClain. Shaun Dion Hamilton will wear Will Compton’s old number, No. 51. And last but not least, Trey Quinn will wear Ryan Grant’s old No. 14.

The Washington Redskins also invited on a number of undrafted free agents and camp tryouts who will also sport numbers at the Washington Redskins’ rookie minicamp later this week. The full list of rookie numbers, gathered from the Redskins official website.
