NFL Mock Draft 7.5: Round 6 of the 2018 NFL Draft
Picks 203-206
203. Buffalo Bills (via JAX): DT Poona Ford, Texas
The Bills can afford to take a shot on a player who may not project to be a perfect fit in the NFL. Poona Ford had a solid collegiate career at Texas, but size and length limitations may limit him at the next level. Ford has just a 6-foot-even frame, and he doesn’t have the requisite length to be a traditional force in the NFL. Also, he only fits in the 4-3 defense because of these limitations.
That said, Ford is a high-motor player who can make tackles. So, adding him as a reserve would be a sensible move for the Bills. He could turn into a backup defensive tackle and worst case scenario, he doesn’t make it in the NFL. This late in the sixth round, it’s okay to take chances on players.
204. Minnesota Vikings: WR Jaleel Scott, New Mexico State

The Vikings have had a good draft so far, but they could stand to add another receiver. Jaleel Scott is another under-the-radar talent who could go higher than this. Scott has a 6-foot-4 frame, solid speed, and good athleticism. He was productive at New Mexico State and he performed well at the Senior Bowl and the Combine. Scott would give Laquon Treadwell some competition behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen as top receivers, and he could become a reliable outside target for Kirk Cousins if he develops quickly.
205. Seattle Seahawks (via NE): OLB James Hearns, Louisville
The Seahawks continue to add to their defense in the later rounds. James Hearns had 15 sacks over the past couple of seasons at Louisville, and while he projects better into a 3-4 defense, the Seahawks will find a way to use him as a rotational edge rusher. They need some help given all the losses they have suffered on that side of the ball.
206. Philadelphia Eagles: S Trayvon Henderson, Hawaii
Our own Ian Cummings is a fan of Trayvon Henderson, and said the following of him after the Senior Bowl.
"Henderson also stood out as a stud in run defense. The Hawaii product isn’t afraid to use his body, and he’s a very solid tackler. He didn’t have an extraordinary Senior Bowl game, but it was more of the same. Solid coverage, solid run defense, and an affinity for the third level."
The Eagles need some safety depth, so Henderson could be a nice role player for them. He makes sense with this selection.
