56. . Offensive Lineman. Iowa. James Daniels. 21. player

This might be a bit of the reach for the Cincinnati Bengals, but let’s be honest. The Bengals need help wherever they can get it on the offensive line. And at No. 21, they could do a lot worse than James Daniels.

At 6-foot-3, 295, Daniels is a bit undersized for the NFL. But he makes up for it with his all-around reliability and consistency. His alma matter, Iowa, is known for those qualities, and Daniels exemplifies them very well.

Daniels is one piece to the confusing offensive line puzzle for the Bengals, and he doesn’t solve the problem alone. But by drafting Daniels, the Bengals take a step in the right direction. With former center Russell Bodine currently partaking in free agent visits, the Bengals have a need to fill at center, and Daniels would accomplish that.
