The Washington Redskins have lost a key pass rusher to free agency. They really need to try and retain Junior Galette to keep depth at the position.

Junior Galette was once thought to be a sunk cost for the Washington Redskins. Initially, after his acquisition following his release from the New Orleans Saints, there was a lot to be excited about. Well, after two seasons that ended in torn Achilles tendons during the offseason, Redskins fans were skeptical of him. However, Galette finally got back on the field in 2017, and stayed healthy the whole year. He performed well and is getting a chance to land another contract.

That said, the Redskins have to do what they can to retain Galette, especially in wake of what has happened at the start of free agency. Here are the main reasons why keeping Galette has gone from being a potential move to being a necessity.
