. Quarterback. Louisville. Lamar Jackson. 15. player. 32

For the Arizona Cardinals, who will likely still need a quarterback come NFL Draft time, this is a steal of a pick.

Lamar Jackson is widely regarded as a carbon copy of Michael Vick, but that assessment doesn’t do justice the skills that Jackson has as a thrower.

Jackson can run, and that makes him very dangerous. But he doesn’t opt to run before finishing his reads, like other NFL quarterbacks, such as Tyrod Taylor. Jackson keeps his eyes downfield, which makes his evasion skills even more impactful. Jackson can extend the play and make plays off-script. That’s valuable in the NFL, and with weapons like David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald, Jackson could do great things early.

At 6-foot-3, Jackson has all the traits to succeed at the next level. He’ll be leaving Louisville, but in this mock draft, he remains a Cardinal. And Arizona couldn’t be happier to have him.
