In recent weeks, there has been talk of electric Penn State running back Saquon Barkley falling to the Washington Redskins at No. 13 in the NFL Draft. How credible are these ‘talks’? Let’s find out.

The Washington Redskins have a number of positions they could address with the No. 13 pick in the NFL Draft, but most people can agree that if Saquon Barkley manages to drop that far, he will be the pick, regardless of who else is on the board.

At first, such a scenario appears to impossible. But we said the same thing about Jonathan Allen dropping in the 2017 NFL Draft. And now, he’s a key cog of the future of the Washington Redskins defense. He was expected to be selected in the top five. He didn’t come off the board until pick No. 17.

Now, to assume that the same thing will happen with Barkley is a dangerous game to play. But is such a thing impossible? Can Barkley drop to No. 13 in the NFL Draft, if all the cards fall in the Washington Redskin’s’ favor? That’s the question we look to answer in the coming slides. Take a look at our NFL Mock Draft 5.0!
