The Washington Redskins no longer need a quarterback, so the first round is a lot more wide open. Here’s a look at the top five players they should consider with their top draft pick.
The 2018 NFL Draft is still two and a half months away. But, it’s never too early to speculate about which players will end up being top picks. The Washington Redskins have answered their biggest question on the roster at quarterback. They solved the issue by acquiring Alex Smith and (likely) letting Kirk Cousins walk. Now, they can shift their attention to free agency and the draft.
In both of these key offseason events, the Redskins will be focused on playmakers to surround Smith, and players to further improve their defense. They aren’t too far away from being a playoff team, but they have to make sure that they responsibly and methodically address their needs to take themselves from a middle of the pack team to a Wild Card team.
