The Washington Redskins have a good looking group of inside linebackers. Here’s a look at how they did during the 2017 season.

It’s amazing how one offseason can change everything in the NFL. In 2016, the Redskins linebacker corps was seen as a weakness. They had some solid players, but they were missing a true, dynamic, three down linebacker to play the middle of their defense. Their two starters were fine No. 2 options, but the top option was missing.

In 2017, the Redskins managed to find that and their defense improved because of it. In the early going, they had the makings of a potential top 10 defense before injuries took their toll. Part of that was thanks to the solid effort they got out of their linebackers.

There’s no question that the linebackers performed well in 2018, but each of them brought a different skill set to the table. And each of them was able to prove themselves in some way, whether that was positive or negative. Here’s a look at the 2017 season grades for the Redskins linebackers.
