The NFL recently released their Pro Bowl rosters for 2018, and courtesy of fervent fan voting, three Redskins made the team. But were there other worthy options left out?

The three Redskins who made the Pro Bowl roster are more than deserving. Ryan Kerrigan, constantly overlooked by the nation, is having another year to remember. He’s logged nine sacks in fourteen games, keeping pace for the 100-sack club in a matter of years. Trent Williams was voted in for obvious reasons, among which being the fact that he locked down defenders while suffering a season-ending knee injury. And Brandon Scherff is last, but certainly not least qualified. He had another stellar year, making monster blocks at the line and in open space.

The fact that these Redskins players made the list is just more evidence of what we already know: Redskins fans are some of the best and most supportive out there. Kerrigan, in particular, is disrespected every year by spectators. He’s not flashy or explosive, but somehow, he gets the job done, and this year, his efforts have been rightfully rewarded. It’s his third Pro Bowl berth, and that number is too small for a player so impactful.

Sending three players to the Pro Bowl is a success in its own right. It shows that those players are good enough where fans, not just of the Redskins, but of football, can recognize and appreciate their talent by simply hearing their name. But are there other Redskins players who were left out, and shouldn’t have been? Were there Redskins who did more than players who made the roster, and yet, they failed to grab a spot? Yes, there were. Turn the page, and take a look at three Redskins players who did more than enough in 2017 to earn a Pro Bowl bid.
