1. Kirk Cousins throws for less than 200 yards

The Chargers defense is such a strong unit. They are going to be able to contain the Redskins offense very well during the game and it is going to be hard for Cousins to get going as a result.

Cousins has done very well working with a shorthanded team for most of the season. But expecting him to produce at a high level on Sunday afternoon could be a bit of a stretch. For yet another week, it appears that the Redskins are going to be forced to operate without some of their top offensive linemen. Moses, Williams, and Roullier are all questionable for the game, and it looks like at least Roullier may need another week to recover.

Without his top offensive linemen, Cousins is going to have a lot less time to throw thanks to the Chargers strong pass rush. Additionally, Casey Hayward is one of the best cover corners in the league and the rest of the Chargers secondary is solid as well. This is going to make it hard for Cousins’ troubled receiving corps to get open for most of the day.

Because of this, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cousins put up one of his worst performances of the season. It’s quite possible that the multitude of factors mentioned earlier could cause him to put up less than 200 yards and it would be hard to blame him if he comes up short in this one, given his depleted supporting cast.
