The Washington Redskins are preparing to take on a tough Chargers defense on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a look at the bold predictions for the game.

At the beginning of the season, if you said one of these teams was battling for playoff contention, many would have expected that to be the Redskins. The team was coming off two strong performances against the Chiefs and the Raiders at their Week 5 bye, and they sported a 2-2 record. Meanwhile, the Chargers were sitting at 0-4 and asking a lot of questions about their team.

My, how the tables have turned. With just a month left of the season, the Skins are playing for 2018 while the Chargers, now 6-6, are tied for first in their division with the Chiefs and Raiders. They are on a hot streak, and they now have a chance to get an advantage since the Chiefs play the Raiders in Week 14.

Jay Gruden is going to have to do everything he can to motivate his team to victory. With little to play for, this appears to be nothing more than a chance for a meaningless win. Of course, it could do a bit more to help Gruden keep his job, but that’s about it.

With that said, let’s dive in to a look at the bold predictions for the contest.
