Redskins vs. Giants: Riggo’s Rag Week 12 Prediction Duel
Under different circumstances, I’d say this one would be an easy win. But with all the injuries, and the season slowly slipping away, I don’t think we’ll see the same stingy Redskins today.
Last week, the Redskins partook in a classic fourth quarter meltdown, one that has placed their season on the brink of failure. Now at 4-6 on the year, like me, they can’t afford to lose another game.
One would think that playing the Giants would be easy. They’ve lost a number of key players, and their healthy players don’t have confidence in their coach, Ben McAdoo. But nevertheless, the team defied the odds, beating the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime last week.
The Chiefs beat the Redskins back in Week 4, and while that’s not a reason to pick the Giants, there are other reasons as well. If my prediction comes true, I would eat as much turkey as you can. Get that tryptophan in your system quick so you can fall asleep for the game.
The Redskins never play as well at home as they do on the road, for some reason. And with all the injuries, they’re sure to put up a less honorable effort this week. The Giants, for all their struggles, are still the same talented team that they were last year. This week, I think the Redskins will lose the one that counts the most, by a score of 24-19. They’ll fall to 4-7, and the front office will be able to focus on resigning Kirk Cousins.
