Happy Thanksgiving! Last week, Matt won the Prediction Duel, as his score was more accurate. He again bolsters his lead, now up 6-4 on the season. Who has the win this week? Let’s find out! Here is Matt’s prediction:

After another heart breaking loss last week, in which the Redskins lost a 15-point lead with three minutes left to play. I’m again stricken with grief. Nevertheless, I have confidence in this team to pull out a win against the Giants this Thanksgiving.

The Giants are a better team than their record claims, but like the Redskins, injuries have derailed their season. The Redskins are the better team going into this week and it should show. The game shouldn’t be close, but knowing the Redskins, it could very well come down to the last second. The Redskins have struggled stopping the run all season, but luckily, the Giants have struggled to run the ball, giving the ‘Skins a fighting chance.

If the Redskins plan to win this game they can’t make stupid mistakes. The Giants have all the defensive pieces to be elite. We saw it last year, and we saw it last week as they beat the Kansas City Chiefs by holding them to just nine points. The Giants offense has struggled heavily. The lack of a running game and missing their top two outside receivers has really crippled them.

Nevertheless, the Redskins can’t go into this game overconfident. If the Redskins are going to win, Kirk Cousins has to play a strong game and the running attack needs to follow up last week with an equally as impressive performance.

If the Redskins even want a chance at the playoffs, they will most likely need to win out at this point. The run starts here. After this follows Dallas, which is probably the biggest game the rest of the season. After all the injuries I’m not upset with the team. If anything, I’m excited for the future. However, we still have a fight left, and we should go out and show it in front of this national audience.

I expect Josh Doctson to have a strong game with over 75 yards and a touchdown. I also expect Samaje Perine to have a game equally as impressive as last week. Josh Norman will record his first pick of the season, and Kirk Cousins will have a good game. I believe all these things can and will come true, and I hope the Redskins believe it, too. The Redskins will win the game, by a score of  23-17. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. HTTR!
