1. Mark Ingram gashes Redskins defense, recording over 150 rushing yards

The Saints have one of the best ground games in the NFL. There’s no denying it. Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara have been an explosive and powerful duo since the team shipped Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals. Both have helped carry the team, but on Sunday, Ingram figures to have the better shot at success.

The Redskins have a defensive front that has been ravaged by injuries. Jonathan Allen is on IR while Matt Ioannidis is still dealing with the effects of a fractured hand. He may be back this week, but if he plays, he will have a club on his hand that will make tackling a bit harder for him. Additionally, Will Compton is on IR, so the team will be starting a third different play next to Zach Brown. Compton wasn’t a great tackler, but continuity is key in the NFL.

Because of the state of the front, it’s possible that Ingram could put up a lot of yardage on the Skins. He has a good combination of power and speed, and it may be difficult for the Redskins defensive line to matchup with the New Orleans line. Ingram should be able to get to the second level frequently and gash the Redskins defense.

It’s also possible that Kamara could achieve this, but given his smaller stature and pass catching ability, he seems more likely to do damage as a receiver. Either way, Washington will have their hands full and a 150 yard rusher is certainly within the realm of possibility.
