The Washington Redskins are now in must-win mode for the rest of the season. That starts on Sunday afternoon with the New Orleans Saints.

Just a week after a huge, emotional win in Week 9 of the NFL season, the Redskins were once again faced with adversity. In Week 10, they fell to Case Keenum and the Vikings by a final score of 38-30. The team was unable to stop Keenum, and his strong performance was one of the surprising highlights of the Vikings victory. The loss dropped the Redskins to 4-5 and put their Wild Card chances in jeopardy.

Moving forward, the Redskins are going to have to win a majority of their remaining games to have any chance at taking the No. 6 seed in the Wild Card race. Right now, it looks like a difficult path for the team to make, and it seems likely that they will have to hit 10 wins in order to clinch a spot. But before we get ahead of ourselves, it’s important to note that they have to take care of business against the Saints first.

At the beginning of the season, nobody was afraid of the Saints. They dropped their first two games and looked like a weak team with a bad defense. Drew Brees was past the point of being able to carry his squad, and the narrative was that the Saints and Sean Payton were heading for a disappointing season. That has significantly changed in the past two months.

Since losing the opening two games, the Saints have ripped off seven consecutive victories and they lead the NFC South with a 7-2 record. It was a quick, remarkable turnaround and they are now considered to be a potential threat in the postseason.

The Redskins have a chance to beat the Saints, but they are taking on a hot team in Week 11 of the NFL season. With that said, here’s an in-depth preview of the Redskins-Saints matchup for the upcoming week.
