1. Vikings edge rushers vs. Redskins offensive tackles

There are still a lot of questions about the health and the performance of the Redskins offensive line. Though the unit fared pretty well last week against the Seahawks, despite the numerous injuries, it’s unclear if they will be able to repeat their success against the Vikings.

The Vikings have a fierce defense that is led by a couple of solid pass rushers. Everson Griffen is one of the most consistent and athletic players and his partner, Danielle Hunter, is a strong athlete as well. The duo should have no trouble on Sunday, particularly if T.J. Clemmings is still in action as a starter. Clemmings, a former Viking, may have trouble against his old team, as the coaching staff is likely well aware of his weaknesses.

That said, the Redskins may have Ty Nsekhe back for this contest, as he appears to be close to fully recovered from the core muscle injury that had held him out for the better part of two months. Nsekhe would be a big upgrade over Clemmings, given that he has experience as a starter and has generally been a solid left tackle in the past. If he is in action, he and Morgan Moses could do just enough to slow down Griffin and Hunter.

This will be the key matchup in this contest. If Kirk Cousins is constantly under pressure, Washington is going to have a tough time moving the ball on offense. If he has time, then they will stand a better chance of beating Minnesota.
