The Washington Redskins were unable to beat the Dallas Cowboys this week in a tough battle. They dropped to 3-4 on the season with the defeat.

For a while early in the game, it looked like the Washington Redskins were going to have a chance to win. Leading the Cowboys 13-7, they were driving and had a chance to score more points. Unfortunately, a game changing play allowed the Cowboys back in and the momentum shifted at that time. The Redskins never regained it.

When the final whistle blew, the Redskins looked up at the scoreboard and found themselves down 33-19. It was a crushing defeat for their Wild Card chances, as they now sit at 3-4. That is behind the Cowboys and many other teams across the NFC. Climbing out of this hole is going to be difficult for the team, especially considering how many injuries their team suffered.

The Redskins have a lot to figure out after this loss. Their offense doesn’t look the same. The departure of their top receivers from last year and the loss of Sean McVay is clearly affecting them. Defensively, they have looked stronger, but on both sides of the ball, the injuries have just been brutal. They would prevent any NFL team from winning a game.

With all that said, the Redskins didn’t have a good performance on Sunday. They weren’t the worst they could have been, all things considered, but it was still a disappointing loss.
